Family Law Solutions for California Clients
When you are resolving family law matters, an experienced lawyer can provide the objective legal counsel you need to make choices about your situation. At my firm — the Law Offices of Paula D. Kleinman — I have over 10 years of experience and work closely with clients throughout the Vista, California, area to resolve family law matters. Contact me online or call 760-643-4114 to schedule your free initial consultation.
When I meet with clients, I spend time talking with them to learn about their legal goals. No one understands your situation better than you, and by working together, we can create a solution that meets your needs. We help clients resolve most familiar law matters, including:
- Child custody and child support: I work with clients to create a parenting plan that is focused on the child's best interest. Child support is determined by a state-mandated formula, and I help clients understand the factors that are taken into account. I also help to gather information so that all relevant income is included in determining the child support arrangement.
- Divorce: I work with my clients to resolve all legal problems related to divorce, including child custody, child support, alimony, division of property and division of Military benefits. Because mediation offers more flexible solutions, I encourage my clients to solve their legal problems before going to court. However, if we cannot reach a fair settlement, I am not afraid of fighting for my clients' rights in litigation.
- Adoption: Stepparent adoption can legally solidify a relationship that has already been developed. I work with families to help them understand how their parental responsibilities will change after the adoption.
- Paternity: I work with men and women to establish paternity. Whether you are a new mother or a father who wants to spend time with your child, establishing paternity is the first step of the process.
- Division of property: After a marriage is over, one of the most difficult tasks is dividing the property. I work with clients to divide all assets and debts, taking into account family businesses, other income sources as well as any debts that may have accumulated during the marriage.
- Restraining orders: Unfortunately, relationships can sometimes turn abusive. I work closely with clients to help them receive the protection they need during this difficult time. I represent clients with temporary restraining order hearings as well as any other issues that may arise throughout this process.
